INTRODUCING
the offline movement
invite the conversation
HOW IT WORKS
You wear an Offline Movement wristband while out in public. This is a signal to the world that:
a) you’re single
-or-
b) you’re open to meeting people
When people see your wristband (or you educate them on what it’s all about), they know you’re available to talk to and open to starting a conversation.
The colors even mean something! BLACK means you’re single and looking to date, and WHITE means you’re not single but you want to meet people anyway (friends, business contacts, etc.).
BOOM! REAL-WORLD CONNECTION!
I’m not single but want to meet friends!
I’m single and looking for love!
THE WHY
Because it is SO HARD to meet people!
If you’ve ever spent any amount of time being single, you will probably understand why I created The Offline Movement.
After years of dating online, meeting tons of people and always walking away feeling disappointed, I decided to launch The Offline Movement. Not only is online dating difficult and time-consuming, but it seems as if you just never get the full story from people based on their profiles. I’m a firm believer that energy doesn’t lie and that meeting someone “out in the wild” is by far the best way to meet.
But how? How will I know if they’re single? What if they’re married? What if their large boyfriend is just in the bathroom?
Answer: a wristband.
The Offline Movement wrist band is a two-pronged approach to avoiding embarrassing rejection.
The wearer sends out a signal that they are a) single and/or b) interested in meeting people.
It’s a great conversation starter! “Hey, what’s that band mean?”
EVENTS
Initially, I wanted The Offline Movement to be a social movement to change the way people meet. Back in 2018, we were allowed to be free to go out to bars, clubs, sporting events, concerts, etc., my idea was to promote The Offline Movement at such places. However, that quickly changed when the pandemic hit and everything shut down.
So The Offline Movement took a bit of a hiatus, sort of disappearing from the public eye but forever living in my heart. And now that the world is open again, and online dating and meeting people is just as hard (and some would argue, worse) than it was pre-pandemic, it is time to resurrect my social love child.
There was demand for in-person events in 2018 and 2019 and my goal is to bring them back. I lovingly call these events MEET MARKETS. The idea being, get in a room with a bunch of people who want to connect. We’re not a matchmaker or even a love connector; we’re just a place to meet people and see where it goes.
